Description
In Puerto Rico, you have your own board plus a shared board. The aim of the game is to amass the most victory points, mainly acquired through the shipping of goods and the buildings purchased. Part of your board is an area for planting crops, such as corn, tobacco and coffee. The resources are worth different amounts when selling (trading) but are worth the same when shipping for victory points. The game is a balance of VPs vs money (doubloons). The complexity then ramps up when you add in workers that are needed to power up the buildings that you purchase, and the fact that each round the Govenor gets to choose which action to take first.
