King of Tokyo

I must confess that I don’t own this game. However, five days in Dorset playing this game every night certainly got me hooked. It can be frustrating at first, certainly whilst trying to work out the tactics, but it grows on you! The concept is simple – kill everyone else or reach 20 victory points. I have to say the latter was the most frequent outcome in our games. You roll six dice, up to three times and make decisions along the way – damaging your enemies, gaining VPs or healing yourself.

This is a fun game, takes about 30 minutes and isn’t complicated at all. As soon as I buy it, which I will, I’ll be getting the kids involved straightaway!

EDIT: King of Tokyo now purchased and the kids love it! Especially when they wipe me out 🙁
